The paroli betting system is a form of positive betting progression that has succeeded since the 16th century. It was commonly used in the Italian card game Basset but is now used effectively in either roulette or baccarat.
The paroli system is effectively the opposite of the Martingale betting system. The latter’s purpose is to regain losses by increasing bets after a loss while the former’s objective is to take advantage of winning streaks.
