Baccarat is a casino game with one of the lowest house edges out there, and many gamblers will likely take advantage of this using the player bet. Both player bet and banker bet have low house edges, but the banker bet takes a 5% commission for any winning bet. Because of this, many gamblers avoid the banker bet and stick with the player bet.
Despite the casino taking a commission of the winnings, gamblers must still consider using the banker bet. The banker bet wins slightly more than the player bet and will have a higher chance of winning in the long run. The only reason people avoid it is the commission, which really seems like a small price compared to the potential winnings.
We have an article titled “Understanding Banker Bets and How to Use Them” as part of our Baccarat Strategy Guide series that gamblers can read for more information.
