During the last season, the English Premier League was postponed due to the COVID-19 and later resumed behind closed doors. This season, England’s football stadiums are to return to full capacity for the first time since the early months of the pandemic.
In May, U.K. Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that Premier League fans can return to the stands after May 17. He said that he “will allow all businesses to reopen, including nightclubs, we will lift the limit on named visitors to care homes and the numbers of people attending concerts, theatre, and sports events.
Thanks to the lockdown restrictions, many EPL fans didn’t get to watch their favourite teams play in person. This season, they can finally watch their favourite football clubs compete live in the stadiums.
